Boule

About

In keeping with my desire to expand Riverboat Gambler to include Player favorites, this game was added at the request of a long time supporter and virtual friend, Bryan. What I liked most about adding this game is that it provided me the opportunity to offer something like Roulette for those who play on a phone device. Unfortunately, due to screen real estate restrictions, Roulette in RBG is currently only available on iPads. In this initial release of the game, each "spin" consists of a series of 50 random number selections that culminate in the final, winning number. ~Danny

Boule has been very popular ever since it first appeared in 1923. Its great simplicity has led a number of establishments to offer it and the game has spread abroad from its birthplace in France; particularly to Switzerland, Spain, and Denmark.

A simplified version of the legendary French Roulette, Boule allows you to bet on 9 numbers (1 to 9) rather than on 37 in French Roulette (0 to 36), with each number appearing four times in the wheel. Although players can only bet on one number, the fact that there are fewer numbers considerably increases the odds of winning.

The aim of Boule is to wager on the outcome of the spin. Get it right and you will be paid 7 to 1. Before the ball is spun the Player decides where to place wagers. Choices are colors, single numbers, or Odd/Even numbers. You can also bet on High or Low ranges, (numbers 1 to 4 or 6 to 9 ). Of course it can be fun to hedge your bets to increase your chances of beating the House.

How To Play

To start the game, the Player simply places wagers on the board. In Boule, the Player may wager on a single number and then on any of the "Even Money Side Bets". The maximum amount of money that may be wagered during a single spin is $500.

To place a wager, simply tap a desired spot and the amount of the wager will be increased by whatever has been designated as the default wager amount ($5, $10, $25, $50, $100) in the Preferences section for the game. Once the wager amount exceeds the table maximum, the wager will be reset and removed. Wagers may also be removed by pressing them for a brief moment. If a wager has already been made on an individual number and a second number is tapped, the previous wager will be reset.

Once all desired wagers have been placed, pressing the Spin button will start the round. In RBG, 50 random numbers will be generated and used to simulate the spin. The final random number represents the final outcome of the round. As numbers are selected, they will light up on the board and the values will be displayed in the middle of the wheel.

The round ends after the final number is selected. At that time, the results of round will be announced and the Player will be paid according to the Pay Table that can be found in these instructions and by tapping the game logo on the board.

Note: The number 5 does not qualify for any of the "Even Money" bets. It is not considered High/Low, Odd/Even, or Red/Black. It is akin to the Zero and Double Zero on traditional Roulette Boards.

Quick Replay

After the round ends if the Player presses the Spin button, the same wagers from the preceding round will be placed and a new round/spin will start. If the Player does not want to repeat the same wagers, play will resume after the Player has adjusted the wagers and pressed the Spin button.
