Chase the Flush

About

Chase the Flush is variant of High Flush that combines Community Cards and structured betting similar to Ultimate Texas Hold'em to create a suspenseful game.

In Chase the Flush the Player and the Dealer compete "Heads Up" using three hole cards and four Community Cards to make their longest possible flush. The Player wins by having more cards in her flush than the Dealer has in his. Card rankings Ace (high) 2 (low) are used to break ties if the Player and the Dealer have the same number of cards in their flushes. Like the Ultimate Texas Hold'em Blind wager, the mandatory X-Tra Bonus wager pays when player wins a round with four or more cards in her flush.

Like High Flush, there is an optional bonus for large flushes and Straight Flushes. The Same Suit bonus pays up to 2000 to 1 for hands that are at least a 4-Card Flush!

How To Play

Starting the Game

To start the game, the Player must place matching wager amounts for the Ante & the X-tra Bonus. These wagers are made by tapping either the Ante or X-tra Bonus spaces. Each tap will increase those wagers by the default amount ($5, $10, $25, $50, $100) that has been specified in Preferences. The maximum amount for the Ante wager is $500.

After an Ante wager has been made, the player may also make a separate wager for the optional Same Suit Bonus. This wager pays for hands that are 4-Card Flushes or higher. The Player is not required to beat the Dealer to win this wager and will be paid according to the schedule defined in the Payouts Table. The maximum amount of the Same Suit Bonus wager is $100.

For all wagers, once the maximum, allowable amount has been reached, an additional tap will reset the wager amount to zero. A wager can also be reset by pressing a spot and holding for a brief moment.

Dealing Cards

The Deal button becomes enabled once an Ante wager and the mandatory X-tra Bonus wager have been placed. Pressing the Deal button starts the game by dealing three cards to the Player, three cards to the Dealer, and four Community Cards. The Player and the Dealer will share the Community Cards to create a flush with the largest number of cards.

Wagering

During the game, there are three opportunities for the Player to wager. After the initial cards have been dealt, the Player has the option to Check or to Bet. If the Player decides to bet, the wager will be 3 times the amount of the initial ante. To make this wager, the Player need only tap the All In wager button. Once the All In wager has been made, all cards will be revealed, the hand will end, and a winner will be determined.

If the Player opts to Check during the first round of wagering, the first two Community Cards will be revealed. At this point, the Player again has an opportunity to Check or to wager. This time, if a wager is placed, it must be an amount twice the original Ante amount. As before, once the wager has been placed, the remaining cards will be revealed and the hand will end.

If the Player opts to Check during the second round of wagering, the final two cards Community Cards will be revealed. At this point, the Player is able to see all seven cards from which she can make her largest Flush. Now, the Player must either wager an amount equal to the original Ante amount or Fold the hand. Either action will end the hand. If the Player decides to Fold the hand, all wagers except the optional Same Suit Bonus will be forfeited.

If the Player completes the hand without folding, his largest Flush hand will be compared to the Dealer's largest Flush hand to determine a winner. The Dealer must have at least a 3-Card Flush, 9-High to "qualify". If the Dealer does not qualify, the Player's Ante wager is refunded before determining the winning hand.

If the Player wins the hand, she is paid even money for the wagers that were made for Ante and All In. The X-tra Bonus is only paid for winning hands that contain at least four cards of a single suit and is paid according the the games Pay Table.

Breaking a Tie

If the Player and Dealer have the same number of cards in their Flushes, the pip values of the cards will be compared to determine a winner. During this comparison, Aces are considered high. Straight Flushes have no impact on the value of a hand. If, after comparing pip values, the hands are still a Tie, the Player Ante, X-tra Bonus, and All In wagers will Push.

Winning the Bonus

Regardless of whether or not the Player wins the final hand, any qualifying bonus hand will be paid if the optional Same Suit was wagered.

Quick Replay

After the hand has ended, if the Player presses the Deal button, the same Ante, X-tra Bonus, and Same Suit wagers will be placed and new cards will be dealt. If the Player does not want to repeat the last wager, play will resume after the Player has adjusted the wagers and pressed the Deal button.
