Mississippi Stud

About

This game combines two popular poker games into one: Mississippi Stud & 3 Card Poker. The games are played separately and require separate wagers. The ante is for Mississippi Stud game. The optional bonus wager is for the 3 Card Poker game.

The 3 Card Poker game can only be played if an ante has been placed for Mississippi Stud. Antes are allowed from $5 to $500. The optional bonus wager may be from $5 to $100. They do not have to be the same amount.

The three Community (Dealer) cards are used as the 3 Card Poker hand. Folding from the Mississippi Stud hand does not affect the Player's standing for the 3 Card Poker game.

The basic premise of Mississippi Stud is that, for an ante, a Player will receive two cards. The Player will use these two cards and the three Community cards to form a qualifying five-card poker hand.

A round of betting occurs after the first two cards are dealt and before each of the Community cards are revealed. These wagers must be 1x, 2x, or 3x the amount of the Player's initial ante. The Player makes the determination as to how much to wager based on how likely he feels that he can make a winning hand.

Players may fold their cards at any time during the betting and forfeit their ante and any wagers that have been placed. A Player who folds is still qualified for the 3 Card Poker game if an optional bonus wager was placed.

The game ends after the third Community card has been revealed. Poker hands below a pair of sixes are losing hands. All other hands are paid (or pushed) according to the Payout Table.

STRATEGY NOTE: Once the Player has a pair of sixes or higher, the remaining cards should be purchased for 3x the original ante. At this point, the Mississippi Stud hand cannot be lost. At worst, the hand will Push if it does not improve.

The 3 Card Poker hand is made from the three Community cards and requires no action from the Player. Payouts are made for any pair or above. If there is not a payable hand in the Community cards, the Player's bonus wager is forfeited.

Payout amounts are shown in the Payout Table that is available in these instructions and by pressing on the game logo on the board.

How To Play

Placing Wagers

There are five places on the table that can accept wagers. Tapping on the Ante or the 3 Card Bonus spots will increase the wagered amount by the increment that is defined in Preferences ($5, $10, $25, $50, $100). A maximum of $500 is allowed for the Ante. The 3 Card Bonus wager cannot exceed $100. Before the cards are dealt, these spots can be cleared by pressing them and holding for a brief moment.

The remaining three areas cannot exceed 3x the amount of the Ante. Tapping each of these spots will increment the wager by the amount of the original Ante. Tapping a fourth time will clear that wager space. These spots, too, can be cleared by pressing them and holding for a brief moment.

In all cases, when the maximum for a spot has been reached, tapping on the spot an additional time will reset the wager to zero.

Dealing Cards

Cards are dealt by pressing the Deal button. This button becomes enabled when the Player has placed the wagers that are required for a stage of the game.

The five cards (2 Player cards and 3 Community cards) can be dealt after an Ante and optional 3 Card Poker Bonus wager have been placed. Each of the Community cards can be shown after a wager has been placed on the corresponding spot for the wager round. If multiple spots are wagered during a single round, the corresponding number of Community cards will be revealed.

The hand ends after all Community cards have been revealed. The final Community card is revealed once a 5th Street wager has been placed and the Player has pressed the Deal button OR when the Player opts to end the hand by pressing the Fold button.

Folding

Players may fold at any point in the game by pressing the Fold button. Folding forfeits whatever has been wagered for Mississippi Stud and reveals all of the Community cards. If a Player Folds and has wagered the optional 3 Card Poker Bonus, they will still be paid if a qualifying 3 Card Poker hand is made from the three Community cards.

Winning the Bonus

If an optional 3 Card Poker Bonus wager was placed, the Player will be paid if a qualifying 3 Card Poker hand is made from the Community cards regardless of whether he wins the Mississippi Stud hand.

Quick Replay

After a hand completes, if the Player presses the Deal button, a new hand will be dealt and the same Ante and Bonus wagers from the preceding hand will be made and a new set of cards will be dealt.

If the Player does not want to repeat the last set of wagers, play will resume when the Player has adjusted the Ante & Bonus wagers and pressed the Deal button.

Note: This game was designed to support "Player Slow Roll". Look for this setting under "Preferences" When it is on, the Player cards will be dealt face down and the Player must tap on cards to reveal them. The game will not continue to the next stage until all cards have been revealed.
