Double Draw Poker is traditional Five Card Draw Poker with a twist! The game is played with a standard 52-card deck and uses 2 Jokers. The Jokers can be used as Aces or to complete straights and flushes. In Double Draw, Players are given two chances to draw cards to complete their 5-card poker hand. During the first draw round, they may replace up to 3 cards. In the second draw round, Players can replace a single card. In Double Draw, the Jokers make a world of difference.
There are four places on the table that accept wagers. Tapping on the Ante spot or the Bonus spot will increase the wagered amount by the default amount ($5, $10, $25, $50, $100) that is defined in Preferences. A maximum of $500 is allowed and both wagers must be equal. Before the cards are dealt, these spots can be cleared by pressing them and holding for a brief moment. Tapping on a Draw spot will place a wager equal to the initial Ante. Tapping a second time will clear the spot.
To begin, the Player must place an Ante and Bonus wager of equal value. After the wagers have been placed and the Deal button has been pressed, the Player is dealt five cards. Based on the potential of the hand, the Player must then decide to continue to play or to Fold the hand. If the Player chooses to fold, the hand ends and all wagers are forfeited
If the Player opts to continue with the hand, he must place a wager on the "Draw up to 3 Cards" spot. This wager must be equal to the amount of the original Ante. At this point, the Player may select up to 3 cards to replace with new cards. Cards are discarded by tapping on them. Once cards, if any, have been marked for discard, pressing the Deal button will continue the hand. Any cards that were discarded will be replaced with new cards. Now, the Player must decide whether to continue the hand or to fold and forfeit all wagers.
The final round is much like the first round except that the Player may only discard and replace a single card. If the Player opts to continue, a wager equal to the original Ante must be placed on the "Draw up to 1 Card" spot. When this has been done and the Deal button is pressed, any discard that was made will be replaced with a new card. At this point, the Player has his final hand and the game ends. Qualifying hands are paid are accordance with the Payout Table that is available in these instructions and by tapping the game logo on the board.
There are two Jokers in the deck. These wild cards may only be used as Aces and to complete Straights and Flushes. The highest hand that can be made in Double Draw Poker is 5 Aces. This hand can be made with any combination of the 2 Jokers and 4 Aces. For payout purposes, a Royal Flush that is made with one or more Jokers is paid simply as a Straight Flush. A "Natural Royal Flush", meaning no Jokers were used, is paid at much higher odds and is classified as a Royal Flush.
The poker hand achievements for this game must be made without wild cards in order to win an achievement
The hand ends after all cards have been revealed.
After a hand completes, if the Player presses the Deal button, a new hand will be dealt and the same Ante and Bonus wager amounts from the preceding hand will be made.
If the Player does not want to repeat the last set of wagers, play will resume after the Player has adjusted the wagers and pressed the Deal button.
