High Card Flush is played against the Dealer. The game starts by placing an Ante bet and two optional bonus bets: the Flush Bonus and the Straight Flush Bonus. The Player and the Dealer each receive 7 cards. The winner of the hand is the person who has the largest number of cards in a flush. In the case of the same sized flushes, the flush with the highest card is the winner.
In High Card Flush, straight flushes have no bearing on who wins the hand. However a straight flush with 3 or more cards in it will be paid if the Player placed the optional Straight Flush Bonus wager.
To start the game, the Player must place a wager amount for the Ante. This wager is made by tapping the Ante space. Each tap will increase the wager by the default amount ($5, $10, $25, $50, $100) that has been specified in "Preferences". The maximum amount for the Ante wager is $500.
After an Ante wager has been made, the Player may also make a separate wager for the optional Flush and Straight Flush bonuses. These wagers will be paid if the Player has a qualifying flush hand. For the Flush Bonus, the Player must have at least four cards in a flush. For the Straight Flush bonus, the Player must have at least a three card straight flush. The Player is not required to beat the Dealer to win this wager and will be paid according to the schedule defined in the Payouts Table. The maximum amount of the bonus wagers is $100.
For all wagers, once the maximum, allowable amount has been reached, an additional tap will reset the wager amount to zero. A wager can also be reset by pressing a spot and holding for a brief moment.
The Deal button becomes enabled once an Ante wager has been placed. Pressing the Deal button starts the game by dealing seven cards to both the Player and the Dealer. In order beat the Dealer, the Player must have a flush that contains more cards than does the flush in the Dealer's hand. If the flushes are the same size, the winner is determined by which flush has the highest card.
After the Player has reviewed his cards, he must determine whether he wants to remain in the hand or to Fold. Folding is surrendering. When the Player folds, his Ante wager is forfeit. Folding does not affect the Player's ability to win the bonus bets.
If the Player decides to remain in the hand, another wager must be made. This wager is made by tapping the Raise button. The amount of the wager must be greater than or equal to the Player's Ante wager.
The maximum allowed wager is based on the number of cards in the Player's flush:
After the final Raise wager has been placed, the Deal button will become enabled. Pressing the Deal button will reveal the Dealer's cards and read both hands to determine the winner.
The Dealer must have at least a three card flush (9 high) to remain in the game. If the Dealer does not qualify, the Player's Raise wager is refunded and the Ante wager is paid.
If optional wagers were placed for the bonus bets, the Player will be paid if there is a qualifying hand. To qualify for the Flush Bonus prize, the Player must have a flush that contains four or more cards. The Straight Flush bonus wager is paid when there is a straight flush that contains three or more cards.
Payout amounts are shown in the Payout Table that is available in these instructions and by tapping the game logo on the board
The hand ends after all cards have been revealed
After a hand completes, if the Player presses the Deal button, a new hand will be dealt and the same Ante and bonus wager amounts from the preceding hand will be made.
If the Player does not want to repeat the last set of wagers, play will resume after the Player has adjusted the wagers and pressed the Deal button.
