This game was added at the request of Harrison, a longtime supporter/fan of Riverboat Gambler and an avid casino-aholic. Personally, I love it and can't wait for it to hit a casino near me!
This is a classic "chase" game. From what I can determine, it's virtually impossible to Fold; especially when you're playing "Heads Up" against the Dealer as you are in RBG.
What makes Party Pairs most attractive (to me) are the odds that are paid for the optional bonus wagers and the perception of there being multiple options for the Player to "force a Push".
The basic premise of the game is that both the Dealer and the Player will receive up to a total of 5 cards. Whoever makes a Pair first wins the hand. If both make a Pair on the same round, the Player either wins 3:1 or Pushes!
Check it out and let me know what you think! Thanks again to Harrison for his support and for this great suggestion. RBG continues to evolve because of the collaboration with a loyal Player Community!

Party Pair is played with a standard 52-card deck. Both the Dealer and the Player will be dealt up to five cards (starting with two cards each).
The object of the game is for the Player to make a Pair before the Dealer does or, if both make a Pair during the same round, for the Player's Pair to beat the Dealer's Pair
The hand ends when a Pair has been made or when both the Dealer and the Player have each been dealt 5 cards.
In any round where the Player makes a Pair and the Dealer fails to make a Pair, the Player automatically wins. The payout odds are influenced by the number of rounds that have been dealt.
In any round where both the Player and the Dealer make a Pair, the payout odds are influenced by the number of rounds that have been dealt and who holds the highest Pair.
In any round where the Dealer makes a Pair and the Player fails to make a Pair, the Dealer automatically wins.
To start a hand, the Player must place an Ante wager. This wager must be between the minimum of $5 and the maximum of $500. Additionally, the Player may place optional wagers for the "Pair Bonus" and "Dealer Match Bonus".
Once the Player has placed the required Ante and any optional bonus wagers, the Deal button will become enabled. Pressing the Deal button starts the hand.
Like Blackjack, cards in Party Pair are dealt sequentially. The Player receives a card, then the Dealer receives a card, etc.
Party Pair follows a structured betting pattern.
After the first two cards have been dealt, the Player must decide whether to continue the hand or to "Fold".
If the Player "Folds", the round ends and the Player forfeits the Ante wager. Any winning payouts for the "Pair Bonus" and "Dealer Match" will still be paid.
If the Player decides to continue a campaign to defeat the Dealer, a "Bet" wager must be placed in order to receive the next card. This wager must be 1x, 2x, or 3x the amount of the initial Ante wager. Once this wager has been placed, pressing "Deal" will continue the hand.
After the 3rd card, if the Player decides to continue a campaign to defeat the Dealer, a "Raise" wager must be placed in order to receive the final two cards. This wager must be 1x, 2x, or 3x the total amount of the Ante and Bet wagers. Once this wager has been placed, pressing "Deal" will continue the hand. Up to two more cards will be dealt, the hand will end, and a winner will be declared.
If, after 5 cards, neither the Dealer nor the Player have made a Pair, the outcome of the game is decided by comparing the fifth card in each hand. If the value of the Dealer card is greater than or equal to the Player card, the Dealer wins.
If the value of the Player's final card is greater than the value of the final Dealer card, the hand is considered a "Push".
The optional bonus wagers are paid based on the results of the first two cards that are dealt to the Player and the Dealer.
The Pair Bonus wager is paid if the Player has a Pair after the Deal of the inital two cards. The payout odds are influenced by whether or not the Dealer also makes a Pair on the intial two cards. These payout odds range from 12:1 for a solo Player Pair to 300:1 if a Player Pair matches the Dealer Pair on the first two cards.
The Dealer Match Bonus is similar to the same wager in Blackjack games. It is based on the matches that can be created when comparing the first two Player cards against the first two Dealer.
What makes this wager more appealing than Blackjack is that the payouts can be much more lucrative. Refer to the Payout Table that can be found in these instructions for the actual odds.
After a round completes, if the Player presses the Deal button, a new hand will be dealt and the same Ante and optional bonus wager amounts from the preceding hand will be made.
If the Player does not want to repeat the last set of wagers, play will resume after the Player has adjusted the wager amounts and pressed the Deal button.
