This game is an interesting variant on the very popular casino favorite, 3 Card Poker. It was added at the request of one of our RBG Players.
In this game the Player has the option to swap out one of her three cards before finalizing the hand. This can prove to be helpful when it comes to trying to hit the bigger hands like Trips and Mini-Royals!
To offset the Player advantage, the Dealer starts with four cards from which to make a final 3 Card Poker hand.
A final difference is that there is no minimum qualifying hand that the Dealer must hit in order to remain in the round.
Keep in mind that in this game, like most poker games that use three cards,
To start the game, the Player must place a mandatory Ante wager between $5 and the maximum of $500. An additional optional wager may also be placed on the First 3 Bonus. This wager is limited to between $5 and $100.
To place a wager, simply tap the appropriate space. Each tap will increase the wager by the default amount ($5, $10, $25, $50, $100) that has been specified in Preferences.
For all wagers, once the maximum, allowable amount has been reached, an additional tap will reset the wager amount to zero. A wager can also be reset by pressing a spot and holding for a brief moment.
The Deal button becomes enabled once an Ante wager has been placed. Pressing the Deal button starts the game.
In this variant of 3 Card Poker, the Dealer receives four cards while the Player receives three cards. After looking at her cards, the Player must decide to Fold the hand and forfeit the Ante wager or continue to play with the goal of getting a 3 Card Poker hand that is better than what the Dealer will have.
If the Player decides to remain in the hand, there are two options to complete the round. Both options require the Player to place an additional wager equal to the amount of the original Ante.
If the Player feels that the original three cards are a strong enough hand to win the round, placing an "In To Win" wager will end the round, expose the Dealer's hand, and declare the winning hand.
The real twist in Three Card Draw Poker is that the Player has the option to replace any one of her original three cards.
If that decision is made, the Player will place a Draw wager that is equal to the initial Ante wager that was placed. Then, one of the Player's three cards must be tapped to indicate that it should be replaced.
Once a card has been tapped, that card will be removed from the Player's hand and a new card will be dealt in its place.
At that point the Player's hand is complete, the round will end, the Dealer's hand will be exposed, and a winner will be declared.
Unlike traditional 3 Card Poker, there is no minimum hand qualifier for the Dealer's hand. That being the case, the best three card hand wins the round. If the Player beats the Dealer, she will be paid even money for the Ante and the In To Win/Draw wagers that were placed. If the Dealer wins, both of those wagers lose. In the case of a tie, those wagers Push.
The First 3 Bonus will be paid based on the Player's original three cards.
Additionally, there is an Ante Bonus that is paid on any Player hand that ranks as a Straight or higher. The Ante Bonus is paid regardless of whether the Player wins the hand.
The payouts for both of these bonuses are documented in the Payout Table contained in these instructions and by tapping on the logo on the game board.
After a hand completes, if the Player presses the Deal button, a new hand will be dealt and the same Ante and First 3 Bonus wager amounts from the preceding hand will be made.
If the Player does not want to repeat the last set of wagers, play will resume after the Player has adjusted the wagers and pressed the Deal button.
